Video and audio playback too fast — 3 Comments

  1. I am a complete noob at Linux, but recently blew away Vista on an old machine and replaced it with Linux Mint 13 (Cinnamon). (yeah, I know – it was about time). I found the same video issue you had.  Since I’ve only had Linux for a few weeks, I’m still learning how to get around. How do I find the Pulse Audio Volume Control in order to change the configuration.  Thank you for any assistance you can provide!

  2. Welcome to the world of Linux, CK!

Pulse Audio Volume Control used to be a default package but for some reason they have now omitted it.  To install it, open either Synaptic Package Manager or Software Manager and enter “pavucontrol” (without quotes!).  That’ll do the job!
